Cowboys Announce Ticket Prices for New Stadium in Arlington
The Cowboys have announced ticket prices for the remainder of the new stadium which will open in Arlington in 2009. The reserved seats, which are all expected to be season tickets, will range from $59 to $125. The lowest price, $59, is only $9 more than the least expensive seats at Texas Stadium. Some of those seats will have no personal seat option, while others will require options ranging from $2,000 to $5,000. Previously, the Cowboys had only announced the prices for the most expensive seats. Those clubs seats cost $340 per games and require options ranging from $16,000 to $150,000, the most expensive in the National Football League. Currently at Texas Stadium, season ticket prices range from $50 to $129. The team has no plans for single game tickets at the new stadium. The team has no single-game tickets available for the 2008 season and only had a few for the 2007.
The average ticket price in the new stadium represents a 6.7% increase over the average reserve ticket price at Texas Stadium in 2008. The average reserve ticket price at the new stadium will be $90.19 in 2009 as compared to an average reserve ticket price of $84.54 in Texas Stadium in 2008.
Most of the reserved seats will have seat options which give the owner the right to purchase season tickets for 30 years. The price of the seat options range from $2,000 to $5,000. Of the reserved seats, 20 percent will not have seat options. As part of this announcement, the Cowboys will unveil a new online application and selection process that is expected to provide an easy process for season ticket holder purchases. Customers can find their allocated seats, view the sightlines from those locations and finalize the transaction completely online. In addition, personal sales consultants have been assigned to each account holder to assist in this process. Introduction of the online site will coincide with the delivery of the season ticket packages by mail.
The team on Thursday also announced they would sell 1,200 “loge” seats, which are located in the upper deck at mid-field on the first six rows of the upper bowl. Those will cost $125 per game and require a $12,000 seat option. Those will have cushioned club style seating, but those seat-holders won’t have access the stadium’s private clubs. They will, however, have access to club parking at the new stadium.
The Cowboys are already well into the sale of their other premium products including suites and Club seats. The Loge product will have a lower seat option fee of $12,000 per seat, and the season ticket prices will be $125.
“We expect Loge seats to do very well,” said Brett Daniels, Director of Client Services for the new stadium. “These seats are in high demand at Texas Stadium because of the great sightlines, and we believe giving them these additional benefits only enhances the fan experience.”
Current season ticket holders will have until July 11 to make decisions about their long-term tickets at the new stadium. After that, the team will offer available locations to those who placed their name on the Cowboys waiting list. That list represents over 10,000 seats and was started last December in response to overwhelming fan interest in season tickets
“We believe we have a ticket plan that provides exceptional opportunities for our fans to be a part of the Dallas Cowboys experience,” said Brett Daniels, Director of Client Services for the Dallas Cowboys. “Texas Stadium is sold out for the 2008 season, and every one of those ticket holders will have the right of first refusal on their allocated seats in the new stadium. There is a definite demand for Cowboys game tickets. With this wide-ranging reserved seat program, we can accommodate customers who look forward to a long-term commitment to the Cowboys. It’s a way to build passion for the game that can be passed on from generation to generation.”
